1. INTRODUCTION

This Warranty Policy applies to all air-conditioning systems, accessories, and installation services supplied and installed by Commercestar Engineering Pte Ltd (“Commercestar”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”).

We warrant that our Products and Services shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, subject to the terms and conditions stated herein.

This warranty is valid only in Singapore and applies to the original end-user purchaser.

2. WARRANTY COMMENCEMENT

The warranty period begins from the date of installation completion or product delivery, whichever is later.

If proof of purchase is unavailable, Commercestar reserves the right to determine the warranty start date based on internal records or serial numbers.

3. PRODUCT WARRANTY (MANUFACTURER WARRANTY)

All air-conditioning systems supplied by Commercestar are covered under the respective manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the brand’s official terms and conditions.

Typical manufacturer warranty coverage includes:

• ✔ Compressor: Up to 5 years (brand dependent)
  
• ✔ Spare Parts: Up to 1 year (brand dependent)
  

All manufacturer warranty claims are subject to the brand’s inspection, assessment, and approval.

Commercestar acts solely as a facilitator in submitting warranty claims and does not override, modify, or replace manufacturer warranty policies.

4. INSTALLATION WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

4.1 Full Installation (HDB / Condo / Landed)

For full installation packages, Commercestar provides up to 1 year workmanship warranty, covering:

• Refrigerant gas leakage
  
• Condensation caused by installation defects
  
• Drainage issues due to improper installation
  
• Joint and connection defects
  

4.2 Replacement Installation (Reuse of Existing Piping)

For replacement-only works, Commercestar provides up to 1 year limited workmanship warranty, covering:

• Gas leakage at newly installed joints
  
• Connection defects at indoor and outdoor units
  

Existing piping, insulation, trunking, and wiring are not covered.

5. CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY VALIDITY

This warranty remains valid only if:

✔ Installation is performed by Commercestar or authorized technicians

✔ The system is used according to manufacturer guidelines

✔ Regular servicing is performed (recommended every 3–6 months)

✔ No unauthorized repairs or modifications are made

✔ Original invoice is retained

Failure to comply may void warranty coverage.

6. EXCLUSIONS & LIMITATIONS

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
  
• Lack of regular maintenance
  
• Water leakage caused by blocked drainage from poor servicing
  
• Condensation due to aging insulation or materials
  
• Defects in reused piping
  
• Electrical faults not related to installation
  
• Power surges, lightning, floods, fire, or natural disasters
  
• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or abuse
  
• Third-party repairs or alterations
  
• Relocation without Commercestar’s involvement
  
• Commercial/industrial use (unless approved)
  

7. OUT-OF-WARRANTY SERVICES

For cases outside warranty coverage, customers may be charged for:

• Inspection fees
  
• Labour charges
  
• Transportation costs
  
• Replacement parts
  

All chargeable services will be quoted before proceeding.

8. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To submit a warranty claim, customers must:

1️⃣ Contact Commercestar via phone, WhatsApp, email, or website

2️⃣ Provide invoice and installation address

3️⃣ Submit photos/videos (if requested)

4️⃣ Allow site inspection

Commercestar reserves the right to determine warranty eligibility.

9. ACCESS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Customers must provide safe access to equipment.

If units are installed at high levels, concealed areas, or unsafe locations, additional charges may apply.

Commercestar reserves the right to decline service if safety is compromised.

10. SERVICE RESPONSE TIME

Standard warranty service response time is 3–10 working days, subject to:

• Technician availability
  
• Parts availability
  
• Site accessibility
  

Urgent cases may be prioritised at our discretion.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Commercestar shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of use, profits, or business interruption.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the value of the affected Product or Service.

12. FORCE MAJEURE

Commercestar shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, supply disruptions, or governmental actions.

13. POLICY AMENDMENTS

Commercestar reserves the right to amend this Warranty Policy at any time without prior notice. Updates will be published on our website.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This policy shall be governed by the laws of Singapore.
